Reliability Prediction

We run the calculation and document it for your project. The analysis can be carried out during the development phase as well as for the finished product. We calculate based on established models (MIL-HDBK-217, Telcordia 2 SR-332, IEC TR 62380, SN 29500, 217Plus) and the latest data input from the manufacturer.

Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) defines the average time of operation between two failures. This number is computed from the failure rates of the individual components of the examined systems. The number is used to provide verification for the design meeting its specific requirements. It allows the comparison with other products, constitutes the basis for setting the length of warranty and can be used as marketing instrument. You have certainty that your product functions reliably and not only have the feeling that it lasts long enough. Calculate with facts and face your customer confidently with precise reliability data.

You do not have to meddle with technical terms such as diagnosis coverage, MTTFd, lamba value, Pi factors and statistical calculations. The documentation covers detailed data as well as a commonly understandable presentation of the results.

Developers appreciate time and again when the calculation uncovers weak points. In many cases, the reliability of the end-product can be increased with minimal effort. For future projects the gained knowledge can flow right away in to the new design.

FMEA / FMECA (Failure Mode and Effects / and Criticality Analysis)

We produce the entire analysis for you and determine the critical electronic components and component group failures. Where necessary we work closely together with your developers. The hardware analysis also provides your software engineers with vital knowledge.

The FMEA is an analysis that looks at possible causes of failure and evaluates their impact. It examines why and how electronic components fail. The objective of the FMEA / FMECA is to reduce and eliminate breakdowns, and hence increase the reliability of the systems.

Safety-related Analysis

For safety-related applications, we produce in close cooperation with you the documentation for the regulator. In that way we evaluate whether the electronic devices have to be brought in to compliance with the respective models under the safety standards (e.g. DIN EN ISO 13849, DIN EN 61508, IEC EN 62061). During the development phase, we can advise you on how to minimize dangerous failures, increase the diagnosis coverage, and ultimately come up with a reliable and secure design.

A clear advantage for you: We work on your project with an independent and unbiased view, and let each design undergo an individual judgment. For safety-related component groups, a review of our analysis is always done through one of your employees before we finish our work.
